Alexander K. Aust, M.S., M.B.A, Founder
Alex has spent the majority of his career working in various roles related to the manufacture of complex parenteral drug products, with a focus on drug delivery systems (DDS). The majority of this time has been spent focusing on polymers and lipid-based nanocarriers (e.g., lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), liposomes, suspensions, emulsions, exosomes, PEG, inorganic nanoparticles, etc.) to encapsulate mRNA, small molecules, large molecules, and other oligonucleotides.

Alex earned his M.B.A from Ball State University with a concentration on Manufacturing and Production Management. Previous to this, he obtained an M.S. from Purdue University while studying Molecular and Cellular Biology; his undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Southern Indiana; where he majored in Biology and minored in History.

Alex’s experience includes executing dozens of technology transfers at various stages of the product lifecycle, from Pre-Clinical through Commercial. He has been in roles that include working in and with various CDMOs, CROs, Big Pharma, and startups to perform different functions, such as: CMC Consulting, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory, Validation Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Development, Project Management, Construction, and Commercial Development.
Aust Business Solutions was founded in 2019 and has a global presence. AUST partners with start-ups, virtual businesses and big pharma to complete projects and bring products to market.
